Ramaswami/McDermott Legacy: The Challenge Begins

Lakshmi's stylist job has her doing makeovers for Sunset Valley's most illustrious citizens, like Gunther Goth and Vita Alto. They may be wealthy and powerful, but they have atrocious taste, and should consider themselves lucky that Lakshmi has come to their town to repair their fashion faux pas.

The salon experiences a lot of downtime, giving Lakshmi many opportunities to share gossip with the resident tattoo artist Narcissa Vatos, who is quickly becoming Lakshmi's best friend in her new town.

While Lakshmi is busy at the salon, Maximus tends his garden. Caring for plants is one of his greatest joys. Having fresh fruits and vegetables also helps keep their grocery bills low.

Doing the laundry is less of a joy, but since he doesn't contribute financially to their partnership, the bulk of the housework falls to Maximus.

Lakshmi works long hours at the salon, but tired as she is, she always has some energy saved to spend with her love.

Random Legacy Challenge - Ramaswami/McDermott

The Random Legacy Challenge by tigger89 @ Mod the Sims is a 10 generation legacy type challenge where you roll different goals and restrictions for each generation. (See rules HERE )

For my first generation, I rolled a couple who will have 2 children. The primary income will be in the Stylist career, and the second adult must not make any income at all. Their generation goal is to have prefect children, and their misc. requirement is to share a random trait, which in my case is Vegetarian.

I'm starting out with a young unmarried couple, Lakshmi Ramaswami and Maximus McDermott. Named for a goddess of wealth and beauty, Lakshmi's goal is to beautify her neighbors through her career as a stylist. The daughter of Priya and Sanjay Ramaswami (you may remember them from Sims 2 Seasons), she grew up in the small rural town of Riverblossom Hills, which she found dull and unpromising, so she moved to Sunset Valley.

Maximus McDermott is also from a small rural town, Riverview, and he would have been happy to live out his days there, living off the land and enjoying the clean air. But his parents and even his neighbors were always hassling him about cutting his hair and getting a job, so he left for Sunset Valley, where no one bothers him about his jobless lifestyle.

Lakshmi and Maximus fell for each other right away, despite not having much in common besides their small town backgrounds and vegetarianism, and they've just moved in together. Lakshmi has started her job at the local salon, and Maximus has begun planting in their garden.
