Ramaswami/Mcdermott Random Legacy Ch. 7: Fulfilled Up Perfect

Liam has graduated high school and is preparing to start his life as an adult. He makes a promise to his girlfriend Bridgette, who is younger than he is, to wait for her to catch up to him.
Now that he's a young adult, it's time for Liam to move out and start his own life. Lakshmi has made a lot of money in her stylist career, and was recently offered a huge commission from City Hall for 15 of her paintings, so there is money to buy Liam a nice house nearby. Susan and Boyd Wainwright have recently passed on, leaving their house unoccupied, so Liam snatches it off the market.

With Liam out of the house, Rukmini takes over his attic bedroom with its private bathroom, repainting it to suit her style.
Bridgette Wolff and Max Vatos have figured out on their own that they have the same father, but like the rest of the town, they never speak of it.

For her service to the community as a stylist, Lakshmi is awarded a key to the city by the mayor in a big ceremony. Lakshmi's life mission is fulfilled.
Maximus and Lakshmi reached their golden years, and Lakshmi retires. Her pension will be more than enough for them until Rukmini grows up and starts her career.

Having no work during the day means Lakshmi has time to visit Liam in his new home. He works late in his new job in the music industry and has apparently just gotten home as his mother showed up at the door. "Why are your clothes torn?" Lakshmi demands. She didn't raise her children to go around in ripped clothing. Liam tries to explain it's part of his job and that he'll be able to dress better once he's a hit movie composer, but Lakshmi has a hard time accepting that any job would require someone to wear a torn shirt. What is the world coming to?

(Challenge Notes: Though attaining LTWs aren't required for mygeneration 1, Lakshmi has attained hers, to reach the top of the stylist career. Maximus has the tinkerer LTW, to max handiness and logic. He's already maxed handiness through repairing and upgrading plumbing and appliances in the house, and he's up to nine logic, so he has a very good chance of attaining his. Liam has met all the requirements of being a Perfect Child before moving out, and is now in the music career path. Because Lakshmi had made so much money I decided to but him a pricey house to bleed off some of the family wealth. As it is there's still enough in the bank for Rukmini to do a sizable expansion on the house to fulfill her generation goal. She's reached level 3 of her teen job and is on the honor roll, so something would have to go horribly wrong at this point for generation 1 to fail. She's got a few days left as a teen. For what it's worth, Liam is still partnered with Bridgette, who will be a YA herself soon. I'm using Twallan's story progression, so anything can happen there.)

  2. Lol, yeah it was hard for me to let him go, I'd like to keep playing him. But my roll for gen 2 is for a single parent, and that will be easier with a female heir. I did make a copy of Liam for the bin, so at least I can play him in some other neighborhood sometime. :D
